How to Get Rid of Mildew

The problem with mildew and mold, especially black mold is the health implications. Those with respiratory issues are especially at risk. Breathing in this fungus causes breathing problems. Before throwing clothing into the washer, one might notice a white surface stain with black spots. Instead of throwing clothing into the dryer, allow mildew-stained clothing to air dry. If the stain is stubborn, rub it with lemon juice. To add an additional abrasive action, mix lemon juice with salt and rub over the stain. Then wash and air-dry.

Mold and mildew in the shower makes it look like the homeowner does not care. Even with everyday cleaning, stains appear. It affects the grout and the shower curtain. Instead of relying on everyday tactics, learn how to get rid of mildew simply and effectively. Bathrooms tend to stay wet, so running the exhaust fan and drying the area out by leaving the bathroom door open can help reduce mold growth. Another method is to spray stains with a solution of bleach and water, Mix three parts water to one-part bleach and spray on it each evening. Take the shower curtain down and run a tub filled with warm water. Add a coupe of tablespoons of bleach to the water and soak the shower curtain. One might also try spraying the curtain with half vinegar and half water and wiping with a clean cloth.
